In your wildest dreams, would you ever have imagined pizza selling for $1000? Well, Nino Selimaj, a Manhattan restaurateur not only imagined it, he created it and put it on his menu.
What makes this pizza worth so much? Some might say it’s toppings: lobster, crème fraiche, chives, assorted caviar, salmon roe, and wasabi. Granted these ingredients are not your average Canadian bacon and pepperoni, but I believe the real reason Nino Selimaj can make and sell a $1000 pizza is his passion for pizza and his ability to believe in his dreams.
His desire to specialize, create and offer something grand for others didn’t stop him even when others called him crazy. Nino Selimaj runs six pizza restaurants in New York and he introduced his $1000 pizza, just this last Wensday, March 14, of course people thought he was crazy”
“Let them say I’m crazy,” Selimaj says. “But I believe in this product, and it’s gonna sell!”
“My luxury pizza will become as famous as a night at the Waldorf Astoria. When Mr. Chow’s introduced upscale Asian Cuisine several years ago, people couldn’t imagine paying hundreds of dollars for Chinese food. Now upscale Asian cuisine is as common as New York hotdogs. Upscale Pizza will be next,” Selimaj said. Direct quote taken from here.
Nino has already started selling his decadent $1000 pizza. Once again someone shows us that there is room in this world to believe in ourselves and in our dreams. We all have been given $1000 pizza ideas and gifts. The problem is we doubt ourselves.
So the question is, do we want to tap into a future filled with amazing experiences? And opportunities that are ours if we are willing to believe?
If our answer is yes, we need to know that nothing happens overnight and nothing happens without our taking actions and baby steps towards living our life on purpose. If we want to live our life on purpose we have to have faith in the gifts and talents God gave us.
