I just finished watching the season premiere of American Idol….Got to say I love it.

Regardless of the talent or lack of talent witnessed at try outs I have to hand it to all of the participants! Do you know what they have that so many unhappy Americans don’t? Passion and a desire to follow their heart despite what other people think. Wow can you say that? Do you have a fire burning in your heart? If you do are you willing to put yourself on the line to get what you want? Are you willing to be laughed at? Are you willing to go alone like Deanna Brown?…who by the way sounded awesome! Congrats to Deanna who is also on her way to Hollywood.

I am excited for this years season what a great contrast of talented singers. I was inspired by many tonight. I have to say that the most inspiring try out for me was by Scott Macintyre who said:

“It was my lack of vision that drove me to investigate the world of sound.”-Scott Macintyre

What a fruitful investigation!!! Because of his courage and outlook Scott discovered one of the most valuable truths in life you can find your passion and purpose in or through your pain.

All of us can turn our pain into passion and purpose and find that God would have us turn our trials into gold. May you choose to do the same. It is never too late. In fact I bet if you start today you will find you are right on schedule.
