Last week my husband and I were visiting Canada. We stayed in several beautiful places including the Fairmont Springs Hotel In Banff and at the Baker Creek Chalets. We were visiting these incredible places because of a trip I won through Scentsy.

The first night we stayed in a Chalet at Baker Creek. We were assigned a charming room with a jacuzzi tub, fire place and no tv. What NO TV? I know at first I thought I wouldn’t make it but then I heard some something through our sliding glass door. I walked over to investigate. To my delight only about fifty feet from our balcony was a roaring river. Don’t you just love the sound of water rushing? It was an incredible night as we layed their snuggling while it’s gentle roar sang us to sleep.

The next morning we awoke to the fresh air, the sounds of birds and of course the music of the water. I quickly got dressed and walked down to the river bank. I stood there mesmerized by the sound and the sprays as the water came crashing through. Thousands of gallons of water caused by the Rocky mountain snow melt charging forward making delicious foam like the kind that forms when you are pouring a glass of ice cold milk…mmm-refreshing!

As I watched the water and soaked in it’s therapeutic effect on my soul I realized something I had never thought of before. This magical, powerful orchestra is created moment by moment by millions of single melting ice crystals that flow together in unison. These powerful united water molecules rush through the river beds only to be in any one spot for a brief second before it continues on it’s journey never to pass that way again.

It hit me that each one of us at every moment are stopping briefly in a fragment of time. A moment that once it is gone we will never be able to reclaim again. Each one of us are like a roaring river we are powerful and can touch those around us. Just by smiling at a stranger, saying hello, or letting them get in line makes us powerful waves of delight for others. May each of us as we rush through life carving our own channels think about the power we have to affect those standing on the sidelines.
