My husband and I were driving home from the big city tonight. We live three hours from Malls, Target, Ross and movie theaters that play more than one movie at a time. In other words civiliaztion.

For the first two hours we listened to a wonderful book on tape by Steven K Scott. Check out his books at Amazon.com.

Did you know the quickest way to radically change your physical surroundings is to change the way you think. And the best way to change the way you think is to devour books.

If you don’t have time to read them then get the books on CD.

Of course if you don’t want more joy, more statisfaction and money in your savings account then don’t bother to start listening to or reading books.

Ohh but wait I got off track:) …back to my story. The last hour we listened to a radio comedy show..hehehehe.

What fun! Have you ever noticed what all comedians have in common? They base their acts on every day functions and encounters.

They don’t make up a new language. They talk about toliot paper, waxing our legs, the difference between men and women, the different way dogs drool…you name it they can have us rolling on the floor.

One guy tonight started talking about road signs… He said : “Have you ever notice road signs? Have you ever thought about the committee members whom get paid to design them?”

For instance take an animal crossing sign. There used to be signs that read: Deer Crossing, then after so many years the sign committee decided it was worth spending millions of dollars to change the deer signs to read: Deer-Xing.

Now they have changed it to just a picture of a deer…I guess you had to be there..

Bottom line….Whether you are a comedian, or a sign designer you can make a good living keeping things simple.
