What keeps you going?
On the days I want to give up and not care, when I want to forget about living a life on purpose and just hang out until I die, when I want to use swear words and rip things to shreds and eat my way through every drive-thru in town because life is too hard, I grab some chocolate and remind myself of these five reasons to keep going:
G -God wants me to make a difference.
O -Only I can make this difference.
I -In a unique way that only I can do.
N -No one else can do what God created me to do.
G -Go, go ahead. I have learned to go ahead, even when I don’t want to. I have experienced that great are the rewards for those who go and do.
The reason I show up here every day on life on purpose cheer leading is because if I hadn’t trusted in the fact that we all have a life purpose and the power to make a big difference in the lives of others, I would have committed suicide long ago.
My own life experiences and the experiences of those that I have coached have shown me time and time again that we can’t go through trauma and abuse and walk away without some pretty heavy scar tissue. “Scar tissue” that shows up as fear, doubt, depression, perfectionism, just to name a few. And when these feelings show up, they overwhelm us and leave us almost paralyzed.
While I believe that these are real side effects of an abusive or dysfunctional past, I also believe that we can overcome and triumph over our challenges. I believe that we can turn our pain into passion and purpose and if we keep going remembering who we are and what we are capable of, we can and will accomplish great things.
Today’s Life on Purpose Quote:
“Everyone was born for greatness. Only few ever even consider the possibility, Even fewer will test the theory, and even fewer will be willing to do what it take long enough to discover their greatness that lies within.”—Becca Levie

Steve,
Your comment meant so much to me. Because of where you have been, and the experiences you have had, you can be such a powerful instrument in the hands of God for doing his work.
People who want to make a clean start will be able to relate to you because you have been in there shoes. Your advice will be real to them because they know it’s what you are practicing and doing every day. God Bless you!
Also check out Oprah Winfrey.com she is looking for stories of people and where you have been and what you want to do, might be what she is looking for. In fact here is the link http://www2.oprah.com/uyl/harpoprod/harpoprod_bgstoryplugs.jhtml
She does have state restrictions, but other than that at first it looks like she just wants to help a family, but if you click on the link, it’s open to more than that. Remember we just have to do our part and ask, the rest is up to God.
Please keep me up to date has God continues to work His miracles in your life!
