Unlock Your Magic with a “Life Change” Jar
Do you have a change jar, dish or bowl? Almost everyone has one for nickels, dimes and pennies. But do you have one for keeping track of the little daily changes you are making to improve your life? This is a simple sounding idea, yet the power that it releases in your life is like magic and the results will amaze you.
So how about it? How about starting a “Life Change” jar, to keep track of little positive changes you are making?
All you need to do is find a jar or container of your choice and then put it on your desk or kitchen counter. Make sure to put it somewhere obvious so you are constantly being reminded of its presence.
Next, what do you do with this jar? Simply write down on a piece of paper every time you do something positive. For example, say you want to quit smoking, every time you resist the urge to light one up, write it down and deposit it into your jar. Every time you catch yourself from yelling at someone or you pass up a piece of candy, write it down and put it in your jar.
Every time you file something away, instead of letting it pile up on your desk, mark it down.
We have heard often enough that, “What you focus your thoughts and attention on is what you get.” or “What you feed grows.” and whether we like it or not it’s true. You can make this process work for you positively by keeping a “Life Change” jar.
Using a “Life Change” jar keeps you visibly focused on your power to make positive changes. Plus as you watch your jar deposits grow, your energy and enthusiasm will grow, too, creating more momentum.
As this happens, start looking more closely at your surroundings because you will be quite surprised to see this new-found energy is affecting other aspects in your life for the better too. Sir Isaac Newton’s principle that a “body at rest tends to remain at rest and a body in motion tends to remain in motion,” proves it self when we put it to the test.
As I like to point out here every day on Life On Purpose, it’s truly the small, consistent, daily actions that we do that add up to the lasting profound changes we want to see in our lives.
So, what are you waiting for? Go find your jar and start making deposits of all the good things you do, do every day. You can request free “Life Change” deposit slips from me. Click here and put “deposit slips” in the comment box.
Today’s Quotes:
“Little by Little does the trick.”—Aesop
“It’s the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen.”—John Wooden
“If you should put even a little on a little and should do this often, soon this would become big.”—Hesiod
“Every little action of the common day makes or unmakes character.”—Oscar Wilde
I hope that you are starting to feel like your little bits are quite enough. And to be just a “little” redundant here, if we will do a little everyday and keep doing it consistently, our little bits will soon become a lot. No doubt about it, “here little” and “there a little” is what big success is made of.
Success of course to me is feeling happy to be a life and doing what I love. Feeling like I am truly living my Life on Purpose. The exciting thing is, is that everytime we take actions, and show our Creator we are alive and willing to wake up and invest in our lives, He takes notice and starts working with us. And this is how our lives turn from stressed filled days to a life of passion and purpose.
Now I invite you to do a little thing, bookmark this page and come back tomorrow for another kick to get you off your rear and doing what you came to this planet to do. I am dedicated to assisting you on your journey to discover and live your ” life purpose”. Get my favorite quotes.
